The short answer
To make a cardamom honey latte at home, stir a little honey and a pinch of ground cardamom into a fresh shot of espresso, then top with steamed milk. The cardamom should be aromatic but gentle and the honey soft rather than sugary. It is our house signature, warm and deliberately not too sweet.

Our signature, at home
The cardamom honey latte is the drink guests ask us about most. The secret is balance. The honey should round the coffee, not overpower it, and the cardamom should lift the cup with aroma rather than heat. Here is how to recreate it.
What you need
- 1 to 2 shots of espresso, or strong brewed coffee
- 1 to 2 teaspoons of honey, to taste
- A pinch of ground green cardamom
- About 200 millilitres of milk of your choice
Method
- Pull or brew your espresso into a warm cup.
- While it is hot, stir in the honey until it dissolves.
- Add a pinch of ground cardamom and stir to combine.
- Steam or warm and froth the milk, then pour it over the coffee.
- Finish with a light dusting of cardamom on top if you like.
Tip
Add cardamom a pinch at a time. It is potent, and a little carries the whole cup. You can always add more, but you cannot take it back.
